Provides personal care, exercises and meals to assigned patients. Documents care given. Receives supervisory direction from the professional nurse or therapist regarding patient care assignments. Transports medications and requests to and from Pharmacy/Nurse on a non- routine basis when necessary.

High school graduate or equivalent, knowledge of medical terminology.

Minimum of one-year related experience required. Excellent customer service skills required.

Current valid Drivers License. Auto liability insurance required. Current CNA licensure. Certified by the State of California as a Home Health Aide (CHHA). BLS Certification. AB508 required within 3 months of hire. Existing CVHP employees with current CPI certification will be grandfathered in until renewal at which time they must obtain AB508 certification. Training is renewed annually (cert. expires end of month in which training takes place).
