Under the direction of the Director, this position coordinates first-line support and/or dispatch of support for CVHP staff, physicians, and other individuals accessing the Healthcare Information System (HCIS) and/or requiring other information needs. The Service Desk Analyst is also responsible for ensuring successful completion of other support activities/projects such as maintaining the internal telephone directory, performing confidentiality audits and maintaining HCIS password management.
Two-year degree or relevant education and training.
General understanding of the health care environment. Understanding of the HCIS applications and operating systems as required for job maintenance. Ability to analyze problems and recommend solutions. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate well with people over the telephone, remain calm in stressful situations, and deal effectively with customers. Excellent customer service skills required.
